I'm frankly baffled by the "anything said must be public" rule. It detracts from the fun of players being able to formulate strategies between them, while at the same time trying to fathom the enemy team's plan.

I think there need to be some ways to communicate with your teammates to prevent the opposing knowing what your team is planning to do. It adds another element of excitement what you do not know what your opponents will be doing. While mulling on this issue, I thought perhaps we can reveal our movements to our teammates and maybe turnaround and draw on piece of paper to discuss strategies. But at the same time, I hate to introduce additional elements which may undermine the fluidity of the game and create downtime :(:(

Wonder if anyone out there how to best solve this.

Perhaps, we can also use an hour glass (like from some other games). Make this even more challenging where the discussion must be complete within 1 minute or 1 minute and half. This will create a great deal of tension to discuss fast. By the way, we are in a battle. There is little or no luxury to communicate comfortably. :D

For player elimination, when two players are eliminated, simply start a side game between them, just to not be watching (we had a lot of fun doing this

I like your idea of starting a side game.
