Yes, wondering how (if it happens) the new film will totally unbalance currently accepted canon according to the fans. There might not have been much written about the end of the Republic, but there's a literal ton of material written post Endor and in the years beyond that they can't do a movie without setting it past the lifetimes of the main characters, or at least beyond the series of books presently written.
